哎呀，刚看到题目就看到了答案， 不过我说说我的理由， 看对不对。
1. 时间状语先行词应当用when ，不能用表示地点的先行词where。 此题强调时间是在20世纪30年代末期  ，属时间状语从句，故应当把where 该为when ， 不过我认为在表示20世纪30年代时是不是应当这样1930s，那个撇要去掉。       2.在两者（时间、地点等）之间用固定词组between...and  ，故把or 改为 and。         3.“与......一样”的固定词组是as +形容词/副词（原级）+as。

第四和第五题解释不清楚 ，  希望得到你的帮助。

四和五属于意思的理解,两句都是转折句,而句子中用的词语体现不出来
